Tocvan Ventures was established to capitalize on the extended period of low activity in the junior mining exploration sector. The management team dedicated time to evaluate and pinpoint opportunities they believed they could revitalize and leverage for further achievements.
Currently, Tocvan boasts approximately 42.9 million shares outstanding and is involved in two promising ventures: the leading Pilar Gold Project and the El Picacho Gold Project, both located in Sonora State, Mexico.

PILAR
Pilar is located 130 km southeast of the capital of Sonora, Hermosillo. The project is fully road accessible and takes approximately 2 hours to drive to from Hermosillo to the town of Suaqui Grande on paved highway. From Suaqui Grande to the project site is approximately 30 mins on gravel road.

El Picacho
The El Picacho Gold-Silver property is interpreted as an orogenic gold system within the regional Caborca Orogenic Gold Belt known for producing gold mines that include La Herradura (>10 Moz Au) and San Francisco (>3 Moz Au). The project is 140 kilometers north of Hermosillo and totals 24 square kilometers.

With degrees in Geology and Environmental Management, he co-founded Tocvan Ventures, driving revitalization efforts in Mexico’s Sonora through strategic local collaborations.
Rodrigo Calles-Montijo
Director
Rodrigo Calles-Montijo, with 30 years of global mineral exploration and roles at Rio Tinto and SRK Consulting, significantly contributes to the Pilar Gold-Silver Project’s success. Holding an MSc in Geology from the University of Sonora and fluent in Spanish and English, he enhances the team with his expertise in Mexican project development.
Luis Manuel Arroyo Dominguez
Director
Mr. Arroyo excels in mine engineering, operations, planning, and environmental compliance, having worked with notable firms like ArcelorMittal. He co-founded ECT Consultants, offering expert services in earth sciences to the mining industry. An active member of professional mining associations, he was a 2015 National Mining Environmental Award candidate and led the Sustainable Development Council in Durango (2000-2001).
Ralph Wintermantel
Director
With over two decades in finance, Mr. Wintermantel led communications and investor relations for German listed firms, then joined Deutsche Bank AG as Vice President, managing db-Xpress magazine for 12 years. Since 2009, he directed VPC Group, focusing on capital markets, and in 2022, launched WINKAP, offering similar services.
Yana Silina
CFO
Since 2008, Ms. Silina, a Chartered Professional Accountant with a Diploma in Management Studies from Thompson Rivers University, has specialized in accounting for venture capital firms. She serves as the senior accountant at Da Costa Management Corp., CFO/director of Cell MedX Corp, CFO of Stuhini Exploration Ltd., and director of Kesselrun Resources Ltd.
